Darkhorse contacted us regarding Tiffany & Co.’s high-profile store opening at Britomart. Their objective was to create a giant version of the iconic Tiffany & Co. jewellery box complete with statement white ribbon. The gift box was designed to transform Tukutai square into a show-stopping entranceway for the VIP guestlist to pass through and collect a goodie bag on arrival to the launch party.
To deliver the brief, our design team joined 4 x Spacecubes together and created a giant ‘box lid’ covered in Tiffany blue vinyl with a customised white bow, and added elements including internal lighting and electrical wiring, shelving, custom white walls and flooring. Our team worked throughout the night to fit together the individual elements and to minimise disruption to the busy public zone in Auckland CBD as well as ensuring that everything was looking flawless on the big day.
The installation generated a huge amount of interest from both the passing public who gathered to take photos, as well as impressing the glam guest list on the evening. We absolutely loved being involved in the design and build of one of our more unique customisations of Spacecube to date.
